20 Day Full Body Cleanse

The digestive tract is responsible for the processes that sustain our health with the absorption of nutrients, minerals and vitamins. It’s also responsible for the detoxification and purification of the body. When my digestive system is working properly, my skin is clearer, my body doesn’t ache, and I have more energy.

It is for these reasons that I will start a full body cleanse with herbs, juices from fruits and vegetables, and water for 20 days straight.

I will start the cleanse this Saturday, June 23 and will be ending it on July 12.  In preparation for it, I’m starting to eat light, and drinking lots of natural juices and water, as well as minimizing my coffee, and wine intake.  This will make the initial effects of the cleansing easier.

Day 1 of cleanse:
Will consist of 8oz of cold compressed olive oil, colontone pills, and water

Day 2 – 7 of cleanse:
Will consist of a buffet of herbs to be taken throughout the day in a 2-hour interval, home juices extracted from fruits and vegetables in the morning and evening, and natural juices (not from concentrate) to consume throughout the day at work.  In addition to all the juices I will be consuming as much water as possible.  I will be ingesting Alkaline water, distilled, or spring water.  Nothing else will be consumed, not even vegetables in a solid form.

Day 8 of cleanse:
All of the above, and fruits are introduced.  However, no melons should be consumed together with any other fruits.

Day 9 of cleanse:
All of the above, and raw vegetables are introduced.  Ex. Romaine, Spinach, baby lettuces, Red leaf, tomatoes, avocados, hearts of palm, or raw vegetables.
NO meat, dairy, dairy dressings, breads, or nuts.

Days 10-15 of cleanse:
All of the above, and cooked vegetables are introduced. (grilled, steamed, roasted, or stir-fried)

Days 16-20 of cleanse:
All of the above, and beans, wild rice, brown rice, whole grains pasta (made from whole wheat, buckwheat, brown rice, Quinoa, Spelt, Kamult), Tofu (in moderation), whole grain cereals with Almond, Rice or Soy Milk.

Here I go…
